FAQs for my brides and grooms

When should we book you for our wedding?

ASAP. I advice you to book your wedding venue first, and your wedding photographer second, before you do anything other wedding related stuff (like looking for the dress of your dreams). Some months of the year are more popular than others, and most couples book me at least 1 year in advance.

Will we get ALL images from our wedding day?

The images you will receive will be edited, I eliminate the ones with closed eyes, out of focus, test shots and duplicates.

How many images will we receive?

The number of photographs depends on many things: the number of guests, is photography in your church allowed, is everything taking place in one location, or do we have to drive to different places... I choose quality over quantity, therefore I do not promise a certain number of images. My average for a full day coverage of 10 hours is around 500 images.

Do you edit our photographs?

Yes, I do. Every image I deliver is post produced in my unique signature style. This involves color correction, exposure adjustment and other corrections. In addition, all posed images from the portrait session receive a special skin treatment, like the removal of blemishes. Not included is advanced post-production, like changing the size and shape of your body. There is no need for that ;)

We are no super models and feel akward in front of a camera...

Believe it or not, I feel the same ;) But I do know how to make you more relaxed during your portrait session, so don’t worry. I will guide you through some (non-stiff) poses, and before long you will forget that I am even there. My goal is to make you feel comfortable, since this will show in your images. By the way, a good practice for the wedding portraits is an engagement session ;)

Do you have backup equipment?

Yes, of course. I always have an extra backup camera, lenses, flash, memory cards, batteries... I have never lost an image from a wedding, and make sure that this will never happen in the future. During your wedding I work with two cameras alternating. This allows me not only to make use of two different lenses (for different looks), but it also spreads the risk of loosing images. Each camera saves the images on two cards simultaneously, so we have a backup of your images automatically. After your wedding the images will be saved on a number of external hard drives, and nothing will be deleted before the delivery of the images.

Do you offer prints?

Sure I do. Images should be printed :) Therefore all of my wedding packages include a printed photo album (or a credit for an even bigger photo album). This is a gift, from me to you! I want you to be able to look at your wedding images again and again, reminiscing about your beautiful wedding day. Of course, I offer a variety of printed products, such as Thank You cards and Wall-Art.

Can you hold a date for us?

I am sorry, but I can not just pencil you in. I want to be fair to everybody, so I will not hold a date without a signed contract and a retainer. Bookings are accepted on a first come – first serve basis.

What if it rains on our wedding day?

Well, I am pretty sure that you will get married in spite of the rain, and I will be there ;) It hardly ever rains for a complete day, and I also have some big umbrellas. So now worries, images in the rain are very unique and fun :)
